Livin' La Vida Luna y Luca
Short Week Big Moves
We returned from Aruba on Wednesday night so it was a very short week.
Dia also took Thursday off, which is a first. She's the type to go straight to the office from the airport (happened on more than one occasion).
I'm glad she did that though, because we couldn't see our living room floor until Thursday night.
We didn't have cell service in Aruba, so I was playing catch-up on my green text messages 🤮 and my unread email count was in the triple digits.
I requested a construction draw for Project Oliver before leaving. Thankfully the inspector and I have a good relationship.
He got the inspection done and the draw hit while I was away.
We also received our Appraisal for Project Weston. It came back favorable.
They have the As-Is Value at $828K, which is $23K above our purchase price of $805K. They project the As-Repaired-Value to be $2.164M, which is $169K higher than our underwritten value of $1.995M.
Finally, I wrapped the week by meeting with our kitchen designer at Project Silver Spring.
I am THIS |<>| freaking close to giving up on white oak cabinetry. It is so hard to get the color right.
Black islands and white perimeters might be the safest bet. It's so played out, but I have yet to see a white oak sample that's anywhere near my inspiration picture.
