This week's video is much better than last week's, but we still have a long way to go.
🎉 A few wins worth celebrating:
I used a lavalier microphone this week so the audio sounds 10x better than last week.
I sent the raw video to my editor Thursday morning, which gave her two days to edit instead of one.
We're at 19 subs and 6 hours of watch time. 981 subs and 3,994 hours to go until I'm monetized. 😬
🔎 Areas I can improve:
I did the entire video in one straight shot and messed up A LOT. I just kept it moving and fixed everything in post. You might notice a lot of jump cuts in this video.
I feel like my set and lighting sucks. The white wall background is so...blah. I can't imagine I'll create a studio in our apartment. I might try to find a professional studio and batch record a month or two worth of videos at a time.
All the big-time YouTubers say an iPhone is good enough, but it feels so amateur to get text notifications on the screen as I'm trying to record.
