Happy Diwali & Sal Mubarak.
Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
Sal Mubarak is the greeting we use to welcome the new year.
If you're feeling charitable this time of year, I encourage you to visit the GoFundMe campaign started by my cousin, Sweta, and her best friend Drashti, to raise money & awareness for my niece, Ariya.
Ariya was diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy, or INAD, when she was only 2 years old.
It's a terminal diagnosis where symptoms start between 6 months and 18 months and sadly, life expectancy is between 7-10 years.
If you're not in a position to donate, no worries.
I would, however, really love it if you took 4 minutes to watch the video on the campaign page where Dr. Sanjay Gupta introduces Ariya's story on behalf of NYSCF (New York Stem Cell Foundation).
Dia and I are matching all donations, up to $2,500, that come from readers of this email.
Send me a screenshot of your contribution and we'll see to it that your money goes twice as far in helping the INADcure foundation find a solution to this ultra-rare disease (less than 300 known cases worldwide).

Luna had picture day at school this past week. Is it me or does she resemble Matilda?
